Review: Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil

I mentioned in my previous post about argan oil that a review was coming up on my favorite brand and here it is: Kahina Giving Beauty 100% Organic Argan Oil. This is hands down the best argan oil I have ever tried. The company uses the highest quality, certified organic and fair trade argan oil. It is produced and delivered in small batches directly from the source to keep it fresh.

Argan oil has a very lightweight texture and is comfortable to use both at daytime and at night, which is something that can't be said about most oils. The oil moisturizes without feeling heavy, improves skin tone and soothes the skin. It makes the skin both look and feel soft, supple and glowy. Argan oil is the one oil I would truly recommend for all skin types - even oily skin. The scent is almost unnoticeable which means it won't upset easily irritated skin.

Raw argan oil is composed of a high percentage of vitamin E which is a great antioxidant for skin health. The remainder of the oil is made up of 80% fatty acids, including hard to obtain Omega 6 and Omega 9 acids. Other components include phenolic oils, squalene and phytosterol compounds. All in all these are key to promoting optimal skin health.

I use this oil as a last step in my night time skincare routine or mix it in with my moisturizer on days my skin feels extra dry. If your skin is more prone to oiliness my recommendation would be to use it interchangeably with a lighter moisturizer so to not overwhelm the skin. The packaging feels and looks very luxurious and as the bottle is made of dark tinted glass you can be sure the oil won't go off. The pipette that dispenses the oil is easy to use and it keeps you from wasting or spilling this liquid gold (plus I feel like a scientist when using it).

Although the Kahina brand argan oil may be expensive it lasts for a long time since you don't need a lot when using it. I have had this bottle since late 2012 and have still not used all of it.

Another aspect I love about this brand is that they are ethically and environmentally responsible. For the Berber women who are employed to extract the oil the work opportunity not only gives financial and social independence as they are payed a fair wage, but the company also provides the women and their family with additional support by funding local initiatives. The packaging is made with sustainable materials that are recyclable.

Altogether this is an amazing product that won't disappoint!
